Description
Mullins Mechanical was awarded the mechanical contract for the body and battery shop at the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, TN. Together, the facilities totaled more than 1.1 million square feet. The HVAC system for this project required the rooftop units and fans to be lifted onto the roof using a helicopter. The system included exposed duct work in office spaces as well as horizontal ducted low-temperature computer room units.
The piping systems that were installed by Mullins for this project consisted of weld water, compressed air, natural gas, and argon.
