Description

Mullins Mechanical installed process/utilty piping and HVAC systems at a chemical manufacturing facility that produces high-grade hydrogen peroxide and ammonia for semi-conductor cleaning.

For this project, MMW installed multiple piping systems in the plant. The piping systems included: nitrogen, ammonia gas, air, liquid ammonia, brine, ultra-pure water, ammonium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, and city water. The ultra-pure water system was installed using Asahi PVDF piping and fittings with a fusion welding process. The ammonia piping system was installed using Resistoflex PTFE lined pipes for increased corrosion resistance. The welds for the Stainless and Carbon piping systems were inspected using X-ray technology with a 100% pass rate. Mullins Mechanical also installed all tanks, pumps, and associated equipment.
